MASTER’S DEGREE IN GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY
This Master’s Degree in Gynecologic Oncology emerges with the aim of training specialists through multimodal cancer surgery thanks to a program which combines theoretical insights with essential internships supervised by high level professionals.
Along the practice period students will share experiences with relevant experts about gynecologic oncology and minimally invasive oncological surgery.
To date there is no sub-specialization in gynecologic oncology in Spain, any specialist in gynecology and obstetrics is authorized to treat female cancer, therefore there is a high demand on this respect.
Similarly, the Research Group of Surgical Oncology (GICO/RGSO) at Univeristat Jaume I actively investigates the following lines of research:
- Abdomino-pelvic carcinomatosis.
- Advanced ovarian cancer.
- Quality of surgery in different surgical procedures.
- Epidemiology of ovarian cancer.
COURSES
CLINICAL IMMERSION ON ONCOLOGICAL GYNECOLOGICAL SURGERY I
The course consists of two parts.
During the morning a live operation broadcast from the General University Hospital of Castellón will be attended. In the afternoon there will be a series of presentations by professionals of recognized prestige.
CLINICAL IMMERSION UMCOAP/ UMOAPS (Oncological Abdomino-pelvic Surgery)
The course aims to advance the development of teaching and research activities in the field of Abdomino-pelvic Oncology surgery.
